Advice for Writers
ADVICE is an opinion. That's what you'll get here—MY advice, my opinions. Some will be aimed at romance writing, but others will be general in nature. If you want to ask me a specific question to answer or see some of these articles before they make it here, check out my Plotmonkeys blog on Saturdays, where I often post about writing-related topics (or host a guest blogger to do the job!).
Here are some of the places I like to browse through when I’m surfing the Web. Maybe you’ll like them too!
Publishers and Romance Communities
Blaze Authors A new site for the new line! Want to see what fires will be stoked by Harlequin’s hottest series? Stop by!
Harlequin/Silhouette Books Check out all the new and exciting books out this month…and a lot of fun stuff, too! This site is constantly changing and never fails to please!
Romance Writers of America If you’re interested in writing romance, or finding other authors whose work you love, this is the site to check out. Brimming with information!!
Spacecoast Authors of Romance This is my RWA chapter across the state. Wonderful favorite authors like Leslie Kelly, Roxanne St. Claire, Debbie Macomber, Kresley Cole and Patricia Waddell, among many others, are in this group! And they throw the BEST conference every other year.
Tampa Area Romance Authors This is my local chapter of RWA. The site has links to other TARA authors like bestsellers Virginia Henley, Jasmine Cresswell and Karen Hawkins!
Places to Find Me
If you want up to the minute updates about what I'm doing, this is where you want to look!
Plotmonkeys! A fun blog site shared by my plotting pals Carly Phillips, Leslie Kelly, Janelle Denison and moi. Updated daily, it’s an insider’s view into the wacky world of working mom writers–our books, our lives, our interests, our foibles. Jungle Madness rules!
Online Romance and Review Sites
I usually have a love/hate relationship with reviewers, but if the sites are listed here, chances are they've been nice to me and I'm going to be nice right back! Some aren't review sites at all, but cool places for readers of hot books to hang out. Check out these sites for people who love romance novels!
